Case Study: Destination Marketing
How can you use technology to increase regional tourism?
The leadership of central New Jersey's Convention and Visitors Bureau conceptualized an innovative application to help raise awareness around the attractions, visitor services, resources and amenities offered by the Central New Jersey region.
On their behalf, we developed an application that connects anyone planning an event within central New Jersey with an breadth of vendors who compete for each aspect of their event.

Let the bidding begin!
Developed for Practical Use Examples: This system was developed to accommodate different types of event planners and was designed around the way event planners work, ensuring greater usability and end user adoption.
Quality Minded: Administrator of the system oversee all of the activities that take place within the application, ranging from exercising approval rights over event requests to analytics in and around the level of participation from vendors.
Designed to Reduce Overhead: The system itself takes the requirements provided by the event planners and publishes, advertises and decommissions requests on the specific schedule defined by the planners when they created their request. This aspect of the application allows event planners to control and automate the timing around when vendors can bid for various elements of their business.
Brand Centric: Making the application work well was one element of our project. Ensuring that the technology was being rendered through a visual experience which was defined by the client's brand was also critical. Our goal was to design the interfaces that visitors would use as an extension of the website versus an add-on to it.

The Outcome...
The professionals who oversee central New Jersey's tourism industry transposed their knowledge of their region in to a tool that generates new business opportunities for local tourism and an enhanced experience for those who plan events.
